COTR Avalanche Men’s Volleyball Welcomes Lincoln Bowen to 2025/26 Roster

The College of the Rockies Avalanche Men's Volleyball program is proud to announce the commitment of Lincoln Bowen, a 6'2" outside hitter from Winnipeg, Manitoba, to its 2025 recruiting class.

Lincoln is a graduate of JH Bruns Collegiate and a standout player with the Junior Bisons Volleyball Club. Known for his smooth, consistent play and strong all-around skill set, Lincoln brings a winning pedigree to the Avalanche. He has helped lead his teams to several high-profile finishes, including gold medals at the 2019, 2022, and 2023 Manitoba Provincial Championships, a bronze medal at the 2024 Provincials, and a Tier 1 silver medal at the 2024 Volleyball Canada Nationals. His teams also captured gold at the 2023 Saskatchewan Husky Invitational, the 2024 Battle of the West, and the 2025 Manitoba Premier 18U Tournament, as well as bronze at the 2023 VC Nationals. Individually, Lincoln has been recognized as an MHSAA SCAC All-Star and a Leboldus Tournament All-Star.

Lincoln will be enrolling in the Bachelor of Business Administration program at College of the Rockies. Speaking on his decision, he shared:
"I chose COTR because of its elite volleyball program, great team culture, and coaching. I also chose COTR for its academic excellence and the BBA program offered. I am looking forward to living in Cranbrook and experiencing all that the Kootenay area has to offer."

Head Coach Cisco Farrero expressed his enthusiasm about Lincoln joining the program:
"Lincoln is a great pickup for us now and for the future. He's a smooth, steady and consistent outside with a great skill base. He exudes a quiet confidence and comes to our team with a great work ethic, having played for the JR Bisons program out of Winnipeg. Lincoln comes from a great volleyball family and his academic plans to do the COTR Business BBA will keep him as a mainstay of our team for a long time."

Lincoln is also the younger brother of returning Avalanche athlete Jhet Bowen, marking a special milestone for the program — the first time in Men's Avalanche history that a pair of siblings will appear on the same roster.
