The College of the Rockies Avalanche Men's Volleyball program is excited to announce the signing of Caleb Douglas Gallagher, a 6'3.5" outside hitter from Comox, British Columbia, for the 2026/27 PACWEST season.
Gallagher joins the Avalanche from Highland Secondary and the Comox Valley Wave Volleyball Club, where he has earned recognition for his athleticism, energy, and leadership on the court. A member of Team BC, Gallagher helped lead his squad to a first-place finish at the 2024 Canada Cup, where he also earned the Maple Award for his outstanding performance and contribution to the team.
In addition to his national success, Gallagher was named a 2025 Provincials Second Team All-Star and continues to stand out as one of the top leftside attackers in his age group.
Gallagher, who plans to study Welding at the College of the Rockies, said his decision to join the Avalanche came down to the people and environment. "I chose College of the Rockies because I really like the coaching staff and team environment, and I really like the location," said Gallagher.
Head Coach Cisco Farrero is thrilled to add Gallagher to the 2026 recruiting class, noting his impact potential both on and off the court. "Caleb is a great pickup for us in this recruiting class," said Farrero. "He brings a fire and physicality that we were looking for in an outside hitter. Caleb is someone I identified last season, and we have made him a priority — in addition, we are a great fit for his academic plan. Caleb's coachability and infectious personality are going to make him a joy to coach."
Gallagher becomes the third addition to the Avalanche's 2026/27 recruiting class, joining setter Kio Kemp and middle blocker Jeffrey Brown as the program continues to build toward another strong season in the PACWEST conference.
