The College of the Rockies had a successful weekend sweeping the Capilano Blues. The Avalanche were led by fifth year captain Kelsey Thompson who displayed tremendous skill and composure in all phases of her game. Thompson was credited with 12 digs, 13 kills, one block, two aces and passed a 2.38 in serve receive in a five set match on Friday. In a three set victory on Saturday, the veteran recorded 14 digs, 10 kills, one block and passed a 2.29 in serve receive. In the sweep she tallied 23 kills, 26 digs and two blocks.
