Match 11: COTR Avalanche - 3 vs. MSVU Mystics - 1
The College of the Rockies Avalanche defeated the MSVU Mystics in the placement game of the CCAA Women's Volleyball National Championship. The Avalanche only needed four sets to win the match and take down the Mystics.
The first set was a blowout from the beginning for the Avalanche. They jumped out to a quick four point lead, and continued to increase it throughout the set, to take it 25-13. The second set was much of the same for COTR, who dominated the set yet again and won 25-13. The Mystics brought their A-game for the third set. With the crowd behind them, MSVU overcame an early deficit to win the set 25-18. The Mystics couldn't keep this momentum going through the fourth set though, eventually losing 25-18.
Player of the game for COTR was Alexa Koshman, who had eight kills and two service aces to add along with a team leading 14 digs. Madison Urqhart took home player of the game for MSVU. She had eight kills and three digs.
